Gerrards Cross Golf Club welcomes applications for membership. Information contained on this page can be downloaded from the link in the amber column.(RHS) Should you know any existing members of Gerrards Cross GC, please ask them to propose and second you. If you are new to the area and do not know any club members, a letter of introduction from your current or previous Golf Club will be acceptable plus one other reference (from a personal friend or employer). Please enquire through the Secretary/General Manager on 01753 883263. He will be glad to send you an application pack. Current annual subscriptions are listed at the bottom of this webpage. Applicants will be asked to play an informal round of golf with a committee member prior to a formal interview. There may be a short waiting period before entry to membership is possible. GCGC encourages young players and provides subscription rates which appreciate the financial position of young players, graduated according to age (see below). An Entrance Fee is payable on joining the Club for all applicants over the age of 30, except for those joining as Associate Members. Please enquire at the Office for the current rates. CATEGORIES OF PLAYING MEMBERSHIP OVER 30 YEARS OF AGE FULL Allows members to play all seven days of the week. FULL (RESTRICTED) As for 'Full', but play is not allowed before 11.15am at weekends. FIVE DAY These members are not entitled to use the course on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays, unless a competition specifically allows Five Day members to enter.Afternoon play (after 2.30pm) is allowed on weekends/holidays up to 6 times a year on payment of a guest green fee. ASSOCIATE Members who only expect to be resident in the area for up to 3 years.This is a special category which recognizes that people on short-term contracts in the area might wish to join a private members' club, but not commit to the entry fee; the subscription is therefore set higher, but there is no entrance fee.Associate members enjoy full playing rights. 18 - 30 YEARS OF AGE INTERMEDIATE Members between the ages of 18 and 30 years. STUDENT Members between the ages of 18 and 30 years in full-time education. Intermediate and student members who graduate to full adult membership do not pay an entrance fee. UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE JUNIORS Members under 18 years of age who have a playing handicap.There is a full schedule of competitions specifically for Juniors, particularly during the school holidays.A full range of competitions are organised in the school holidays. Lower handicap boys may also enter many of the men's competitions, while girls may enter any of the ladies' competitions.As from 2010, there will be an elite training programme to help develop the stars of the future. CYGNETS Beginners under 18 years of age.Through a combination of coaching sessions and play on the course, Cygnets are encouraged to attain the standard required for transfer to the Junior section.If a Cygnet does not have a parent or other relation who can accompany them on the course, the Club has a team of volunteers available. NOTE Juniors and Cygnets do NOT need a parent to be a member of the Club before they can join. In addition to the playing categories of membershipwe also offer SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP This entitles members to use the amenities of the clubhouse but not the course, except on payment of the appropriate green fee.There is a lively social calendar including bridge drives, various musical evenings and the popular annual quiz.In addition, there are dinners (often with dance bands) and informal bistro evenings, taking advantage of our excellent catering teamAPPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP
