Course maintenance
Gerrards Cross Golf Club has an ongoing Forward Planning Programme which covers both the course and the woodlands. This programme is reviewed annually to ensure there is continuous improvement in detail, quality and maintenance. Our Course Maintenance and Woodlands Policies ensure that our golfing and ecology requirements run hand in hand and complement rather than conflict with each other.
The 7th, 10th and 16th men's tees were rebuilt recently as was the ladies' 5th tee. Two more ladies' tees will be re-laid during the 2007 – 08 winter.
Our irrigation system ensures that greens, tees and fairways are maintained at the highest quality throughout the year. Our modern equipment and continuous programme of maintenance and top-dressing makes sure our greens are kept in a first class condition.
It is inevitable that golfers will suffer some disruption during their round from course staff cutting fairways, rough etc. Please be patient and do not play until staff indicate that you may do so.
All of this could not happen without the efforts of our Ground staff, ably led by our Head Greenkeeper, Lee Robinson (extreme left in photo). All have been looking after our golf course for many years and they carry out their duties with enthusiasm, pride and good humour.
