Our objective is to be one of the very best clubs for juniors to play and develop their golf.

The Junior section is run by a Junior committee including Head professional Alex Nelson. . Alex and his professional staff provide regular group coaching sessions to help players develop the right technique and habits. There are fixtures and competitions throughout the year, which are tailored to take full advantage of school term breaks.  Matches are arranged with teams within the club and other golf clubs in the surrounding area.

The Junior Academy - this is the best place for boys & girls of all ages new to golf.   Here the emphasis is on fun and learning in a safe and structured environment. Along with monthly roll up coaching sessions they can get on course experience if accompanied by an adult mentor who is an adult member. This will help them to learn the basic rules of golf and on course behaviour.  When they become more confident and comfortable on the golf course the plan is that they quickly progress to full Junior membership.

Junior Scholars – this special programme is supported by the club to help the most committed and talented juniors to develop into top players. We currently have 8 places for Scholars. Each receives regular individual lessons from Alex Nelson and agrees to a development programme. Scholars enjoy free membership of the club and all their coaching is paid for by the Club. In return they are expected to represent the Club in matches and help out with junior coaching sessions.  This programme has proven to be very successful with two Scholars currently in the England Golf set up.
