Societies

Societies are especially welcome at Gerrards Cross. We prefer Thursday or Fridays if possible but we will always consider exceptions. Our catering staff are experienced and highly trained and we know you will enjoy the high quality of our food and service alongside our great golf course.

Our most popular Society/Corporate Golf Day offering includes the following;

Tea, Coffee and Bacon Roll on Arrival
18 Holes of Golf
3 Course Lunch or Dinner (see menu)

We can of course create more bespoke packages on request with alternative catering options and additional holes if required; just tell us what your ideal golf day entails and we will create the package for you.

2017 Society Rates

Society Services

We can also help you with the following golf day services;

  • On course competition; Nearest the Pin/Longest Drive
  • Starter; One of our volunteer members will act as Starter, to ensure all golfers get out onto the course with the required information and in good time.
  • Hire Service; Golf buggies, electric and pull trolleys are available to hire direct with the Pro Shop.
  • Prizes; Our Pro Shop team will be happy to help you organise prizes for the day.

Winter Golf Offer

During the winter months, December to February, we acknowledge that it is much harder to organise a golf day.  With variable weather deterring many from booking too far in advance,  so we have now introduced our Winter 4-ball* rate which will include the following for £160 per 4-ball.

Tea, Coffee and Bacon Roll on Arrival
18 Holes of Golf
1 Course lunch

*Winter 4-balls are bookable Monday to Friday and whilst no specific tee time is reserved we will advise you of the best time to play on your chosen date.  Full pre-payment, on booking, is required to take advantage of this special rate

Dress Code

Club employees , Pro Shop staf and Society Starters have been instructed, by the Board of Directors, to advise members and guests on occasions when dress standards do not conform to the above.

For men and ladies, golf attire as determined by convention and fashion should always be smart. This applies on the course and practice areas at Gerrards Cross.

We have a relaxed dress code but insist on the key issues of "smart" and "clean".

  • Only tailored shorts are acceptable.
  • Changing is not permitted anywhere other than in the locker room.
  • Visitors may wear golf attire in the dining room at lunch time providing their clothes are clean and dry.
  • Smart casual clothing and clean, dry golf clothing is permitted in the lounge, bars and dining room.
  • Dress code for functions in the dining room is determined by the event organizers.
  • Non-golf shoes are to be worn in the Dining Room at all times.
  • Golf shoes may be worn in the spike area when ordering refreshments from the bar, which may be accessed through the door to the patio.

Inappropriate Golf Attire for Men

  • Denim jeans
  • Tracksuits
  • Paramilitary clothing
  • Trainers, rugby and football shirts/shorts
  • Cargo shorts and beachwear
  • Short socks, other than white, when worn with tailored shorts
  • Shirts without collars and shirts not tucked in, with the exception of fitted shirts designed to be worn untucked.
  • Golf headwear in the clubhouse.N.B.
  • Bare midriffs are not permitted for men or ladies
  • Reversed Golf hats
