Ladies' Spring Meeting

What a beautiful day we had for our Spring Meeting.  After a chilly start the sun came out and it was truly a glorious Spring day. As always, we played 18 hole singles in the morning and 13 hole foursomes in the afternoon. Some great golf was played – and some bad golf too of course! But for us all it was wonderful to be out on the course which is in such great condition and was looking beautiful with the trees in blossom. Ladies collected a packet of biscuits to help sustain them on their round and contributed to our ball sweep which raised £149 for Brainwave.

We enjoyed a lovely supper of Cornfed Chicken Supreme with an Asparagus Sauce

Crushed New Potatoes, Green Beans and Vine Cherry Tomatoes followed by Passionfruit Posset with Mango Sorbet.

Many thanks to all who contributed to the day: The Ladies Committee, especially Rowena Gimson, Sue Hughes and Debbie Veys; Carol Berry for the beautiful flower arrangements on the tables; Liz McCarthy and Althea Batten for running the Ball Sweep; Matthew Locke and Raj Rajathurai for their starter duties; Chris Tarry and the team in the kitchen; Chris, Angeliqua, Oscar and the team behind the bar; Adam McCall and the greenkeepers; Harry in the Pro Shop; and the office for the administrative and computer help.
