THUNDER & LIGHTNING

Members and visitors should be aware of the Thunder & Lightning policy in place at Gerrards Cross Golf Club.

Gerrards Cross has adopted a colour code to indicate course restrictions for two seater buggies when conditions are unsafe. (Health & Safety decision)

Terms and conditions together with route information are available in the Buggy policy document. Members and visitors are encouraged to read it.

RED - Complete buggy ban.

AMBER - Only disabled users (including any member who has completed a Medical Certificate) may be allowed to use a buggy and the Amber buggy route must be followed. Terms and conditions together with route information are available in the Buggy policy document.

GREEN - Buggies allowed – no restrictions. (rough and fairways).

COURSE MEASUREMENT Each hole has yardage distances on the sprinkler heads in the fairway, which indicate the distance to the middle of the green.

COURSE DEVELOPMENT:

There has been a significant investment in the course over the last 2 years, generating tremendous feedback from members and guests, to ensure the course maintains and improves its status. One of the biggest changes is the speed of the greens. They can be rather speedy, but always true and a joy to putt on.

Local Rules

CONGU publish guidelines for Stroke indices and I'm pleased to say our revised ones meet all their criteria. The main objective with allocating Stroke Indices is to create an even spread of strokes, to be received at all handicap differences, over the 18 holes.
